Hello! Box Museum is a concept created by artist Ayumi Takahashi in 2019. Our office is located in Tokyo, Japan, and our permanent show space is in Dalian, China. We work with artists around the world to create all kinds of pop-up experiences and “deliver” them to the public in a shipping box shaped space.  We deliver art to your life.

Our mission  is to create beautiful things that can be “delivered” into peoples lives in all aspects.

The Concept of Box Museum is to “deliver” art to your life. To maximize that idea, our collaborations include creation of pop-up experiences, limited artist collaboration products, and original video/podcast/blog contents. We call them Box Shop, Box TV, Box Radio and Box Read. 

Our Team is made of 3 parts. Our art creative team that does art direction and planning for the project, our construction team that has over 30 years of experience in theme park building, and a curated artist team that creates the specific artwork based on each project. 

Open Submission is another thing that we will take! It doesn’t matter if you have a brilliant idea for an exhibition, or a product that you want to bring to reality, or if you have a space/food stand/event/experience that you want us to help create! Just send us an email at hello@theboxmuseum.info

We are not a traditional art gallery! We don’t hang canvas on the wall, we let artists use space as canvas to create an experienced based exhibition so the viewer can be part of!
